Plays Well Together

In February 1980, about 50 people living in Lower Town (the area now bordered by North 4th Street, Jefferson Street, North 9th Street and Park Avenue) formed the Lower Town Renaissance Association with the stated purpose of promoting and preserving the Lower Town neighborhood, which is one of the original residential neighborhoods in Paducah, dating back to 1836.

Recently, the association changed it’s name to Lower Town Neighborhood Association to reflect the community focus.

For more than 40 years, the association has been working together to enhance the quality of life here—and it shows!
